One of HomeSpec’s senior project managers, Erik, performed an inspection of the basement. After discussing with the homeowner, Erik suggested installing an interior drainage system using WaterGuard® and a new sump discharge. The WaterGuard® interior drainage system would capture water entering at the floor and drain to the sump pump which would then discharge to the ditch outside of the home. The homeowner agreed to this plan and scheduled HomeSpec’s crews to execute this project. First, the carpet had to be moved away from the perimeter and plumbing concerns had to be addressed by Rick. Afterward, another crew installed the interior drainage system around the edges of the basement and the sump discharge. The homeowner was happy with the final results and knew their home would be dry for years to come.
