Photo Album: TrenchDrain Installed in Pinckney, MI, Garage to Prevent Excess Water
A homeowner in Pinckney, MI, contacted HomeSpec with concerns about their recently purchased home. They explained that they wanted to use the garage for both parking and storage without having water on the floor, as they were worried it would ruin their stored items. HomeSpec knew they could help, and Mark, one of their senior project managers, went out to provide a free inspection.
After inspecting the garage, Mark created a repair plan. He proposed that, to keep water out of the garage, the homeowner allow HomeSpec to install three main components to maintain a dry space: a draining pipe, a drainage system, and a sump pump. The TrenchDrain™ Grated Draining Pipe would catch any unwanted water from the garage. Once the water entered the drain, it would be redirected to the Interior Drainage System. This would allow the water to be directed to the SuperSump® sump pump instead of remaining in the garage. The sump pump system would provide full protection from unwanted water in the area. Once the homeowner agreed to the three installations, a team from HomeSpec completed the work. The homeowner was pleased with the results and glad to have a dry garage.
SuperSump Sump Pump System
The HomeSpec Crew installed a SuperSump sump pump to add protection against the residing water in the garage.
TrenchDrain™ Grated Draining Pipe
TrechDrain is installed to collect the unwanted water from the garage. This will then be directed to the Interior Drainage System.
Interior Drainage System
After the TrenchDrain catches the water, it is then directed to the sump pump with the help of the Interior Drainage System.
