Homeowners in Monroe, MI were due for new vent space cover as well as a crawl space encapsulation. This led them to reach out to us for a quick assessment and installation of the CleanSpace Systems.
For many people, the concrete around their home is just an absolute eyesore. Cracked and sunken concrete negatively affects the curb appeal of the home, and even creates tripping hazards. Most people don't consider fixing it a priority because they think the task will be too much of a headache. That's what this Genesee homeowner thought about his driveway project. There were many cracked slabs, and there was a large gap between the house and the driveway.
But when a friend told him about HomeSpec's PolyLevel system, the homeowner finally decided to get his concrete repaired. After an inspector came out to see the damage and provide a proposal, our concrete specialists got to work.
With the PolyLevel system, a small penny-sized hole is drilled into the concrete. Then the expanding 2-part polymer rigid foam is injected underneath. As it expands, it fills in the voids between the soil and the slab. This raises the slab up and levels it with the rest of the concrete. And BOOM - it's finished! This is an environmentally safe, quick, non-invasive, cost-effective way to repair concrete.
Several slabs were cracked, so we filled them in with our NexusPro sealant. The homeowner was very pleased with the quick and easy process, and with how much better his driveway looks now!
A couple in Belleville, MI could no longer use their basement as a storage area because water kept leaking in. These homeowners wanted to put their stress on the back burner and have the ability to sell the house in the future if needed. They called HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for a free estimate of the repair.
Kenny, a project manager for HomeSpec, went out to the home and took a look at the problem areas. He could see where the water was intruding throughout the basement and made a repair plan for the homeowners. Kenny suggested installing a WaterGuard® interior drainage system along with a new sump pump and discharge lines. This would allow the water leaking in to be redirected out and away from the home. The homeowners agreed to this plan and the repairs were later followed through by teams led by Jon and Travis. Once the concrete dried, the couple was happy to not worry about water in their home anymore.
These homeowners contacted HomeSpec because their crawl space was very humid and water was seeping in.
Our crew solved this problem by encapsulating the crawl space to keep it clean, dry, healthy, and free from mold and moisture for a more comfortable home.
These homeowners in Canton, MI were concerned about their uneven driveway. They worried about the trip hazard not only for themselves but for friends and family. Another point that led them to want repairs was disliking the sunken appearance of their new home. They called HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for an inspection. The project manager, Noah, did a walk-around with the homeowners to gauge the scenario. His suggestion to lift the concrete and seal the joints aligned with the homeowners’ vision and a HomeSpec crew was then scheduled for the repairs.
The PolyLevel foreman, Fred, led the crew in this concrete leveling service. They drilled holes into the sunken slabs and then used the PolyLevel® injection foam to lift the concrete until it was level with the other slabs. After ensuring the driveway was properly leveled, the team sealed the joints using NexusPro to offer a clean final look and protect the driveway.
