Homeowner in Brighton, MI With Newly Purchased Home Has TripleSafe and WaterGuard Installed To Fix Rainfall Leaks
A homeowner in Brighton, MI had recently purchased a home located in an area with a high water table, which caused the basement to leak every time it rained. Despite having an old drainage system in place, it was no longer effective in preventing water from leaking in. Desperate for a long-term solution, they reached out to us for assistance.   Upon inspecting the basement, our Project Manager confirmed the presence of water through floor cracks and determined that their existing drainage system was insufficient to address the problem. He recommended the installation of a comprehensive interior drainage system which involved the WaterGuard, TripleSafe Sump Pump and the SaniDry - Sedona to effectively redirect water away from the basement.   To begin the waterproofing process, our crew first prepared their basement by clearing out any obstructions and removing all the debris. They needed to ensure a clean and suitable work environment, allowing them to work efficiently and effectively. The next step involved installing the WaterGuard, an interior drainage system designed to sit on the footing of the foundation. Our crew carefully excavated a trench along the edges of the basement floor, keeping the dust and debris away from the hole. The WaterGuard system, with its specialized wall flanges to capture water from the walls, was then placed within the trench they had dug. Given the high water table in the area, the TripleSafe sump pump system was the best solution for this homeowner. This sump pump has three powerful pumps working together to provide maximum protection against basement flooding. The primary pump handles the majority of the water, while the secondary pump serves as a backup in case of primary pump failure. Additionally, the third pump, equipped with a battery backup, ensures continued operation even during power outages, safeguarding the basement from water damage in any event. Finally, our crew turned their attention to address the excess humidity in the basement. The Sanidry - Sedona dehumidification system was perfect for this situation because it's specifically designed for basements and effectively controls and monitors humidity levels.    This dehumidifier works well with the other basement waterproofing measures we installed by capturing excess moisture from the air, filtering out impurities, and continuously draining the collected water into the TripleSafe sump pump system for removal.   Once all the products were installed, our crew tested the systems to ensure they were properly functioning. They made sure to double check the WaterGuard drainage system for any leaks or blockages, while ensuring the TripleSafe and SaniDry were running at optimum levels.   The homeowners were relieved to no longer have to worry about water seeping through floor cracks or dealing with a damp and uncomfortable basement. Our full solution allowed them to regain their peace of mind and enjoy the basement.

The Project Manager explained how the WaterGuard system is designed to collect water from the basement walls and floors and then redirect it to the sump pump, while the SuperSump Plus is a high-performance sump pump system that is specifically designed to handle the amount of water in the basement. On the day of installation, our crew arrived on time and set to work right away. They first removed any damaged items and debris from the basement, making sure to keep the area clean and safe. Milan, Mi Basement Waterproofing and Foundation Repair For Bowing Walls
A family in Milan, Mi had noticed their basement walls increasingly bowing over time, leaving crevices open for water to get through and run down their walls. This was a quickly compounding problem cause for concern regarding both water damage and structural/foundation support. To let this problem continue, would have been to put the health and safety of their families at risk. Realizing the urgency, they contacted HomeSpec to investigate and offer long-term solutions.                                               Dave Kingsley sat down with the homeowners to discuss their concerns in depth. After hearing their point of view and developing an understanding of what they wanted, Dave began a thorough basement inspection to detail the problem and determine the base steps towards a proper solution. He outlined that the best way to handle these problems was to tackle the bowing wall first, add additional support to stabilize and repair the foundation walls, as well as integrate a new drainage system to divert possible leaks from the walls.                                               The best combination for this job was determined to be the use of Carbon Armor and WaterGuard. The crew would begin by installing the CarbonArmor system. This is the ideal, non-invasive solution to permanently stabilize block foundation walls. Using carbon fiber-reinforced polymers that are many times stronger than steel, yet flexible enough to contour to bowing basement walls. This system prevents the wall from leaning in at the top and moving further inward, with straps adhered with powerful epoxy resin.                                   WaterGuard is a customizable piping system engineered specifically to solve basement water problems without worry of clogging. WaterGuard has a special wall flange that creates space between the floor and wall, allowing wall seepage to drain away seamlessly to the designated basin, where the crew would reinstall the functional sump pump.             The combination of these two systems helped to waterproof this family's basement as well as permanently stabilize their foundation walls.
