A Westland, MI homeowner discovered a leak in one corner of their basement. Whenever it would rain heavily, water would find its way into the home. The damage coating the walls and floor was evidence that a solution needed to be found sooner rather than later. The homeowner contacted HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair to inquire about a free estimate.  One of HomeSpec’s inspection managers, Sidney, was scheduled for this appointment. He spoke with the homeowner about their leaking basement and viewed the problem area. While Sidney took notes of what he observed, he also began devising a repair plan. After thoroughly investigating the entire basement, he discussed repair options with the homeowner. Together, they agreed that installing a WaterGuard® interior drainage system around the perimeter of the basement and connecting a sump pump and discharge line would resolve the water intrusion issues. The work was completed by a HomeSpec crew with a foreman named Michael leading the charge. With the job finished, the homeowner no longer had to worry about water leaking into the basement.
