Water Damage in Basement of Hamburg, MI Office Building
A married couple bought an office building to continue their childcare business. Unfortunately, the basement leaked during heavy rains. The owners reached out to HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair for help.
Exterior Waterproofing Protects Basement
The owners agreed with the senior project manager's repair plan to protect the basement with exterior waterproofing. Because the basement was leaking in one specific section, HomeSpec was able to target that area during the repairs. They insulated and sealed the wall to prevent further water damage. HomeSpec also installed an exterior drainage line that connected to a dry well basin.
Exterior Drainage Line in Problem Zone Gathers Saturated Water
Since water was known to saturate this area, HomeSpec installed an exterior discharge line after sealing the wall. This discharge line connects to a dry well basin.
Dry Well Basin Installed Outside of Office Building
A dry well basin was installed to collect water intruding the area. The exterior discharge line leads the water away from the wall and into the basin. The dry well would then slowly release the water at a safe rate and distance from the building.
Exterior Waterproofing Finalized at Hamburg, MI Office
To complete this exterior waterproofing project, HomeSpec restored the aesthetic with mulch and flowers. They also moved the slabs back into place so the A/C condensers could return to their original spot.
