A homeowner in Mount Clemens, MI had been experiencing the issue of a crack in their basement wall leaking for a number of years and finally wanted to have it sealed. There are safety reasons for egress windows - to provide a safe escape from the home in case of emergency, and for a way for firefighters to enter. But they also let in lots of natural light to a place that's normally very dark. 

Our team installed the egress window for the homeowner, as well as a window well with proper drainage to prevent the window from leaking. A clear cover was installed over the well to still let it light, but make sure water and debris don't get in. 

Now the basement has a brand new egress window, and the homeowner was very happy with the final results!

Water was seeping into the home's lower level at the joint where the floor and the wall meet. To solve this problem, HomeSpec installed an interior drainage system. This system is installed around the perimeter, preventing water from getting into the home.
